Modesty Swimwear â€Â" Swimwear for Today’s Empowered Female
The other day, a newspaper carried an article about the International Swimming Federation banning the use of modesty underwear under swimsuits for swimmers aiming for world records. It is assumed that wearing extra layers adds additional buoyancy to the swimmer; thus, the Federation states that wearing these extra layers will not be allowed. However, Swimming Australia holds that swimmers may wear modesty briefs, but again, their efforts will not stand for world records.

Swimwear may lead to controversies on many occasions. Many cultures and countries take a restrictive view of females indulging in activities that might require exposure of body parts. Some cultures even ban women from using public swimming pools. In this context, modesty swimwear appears to be a feasible solution for all women irrespective of their religious faith and belief. Modesty swimwear ensures women are empowered to take u! p sports or fitness regimes.

Modesty swimwear is now easily available online and many stores stock them as well. They are not very expensive and come in varying styles and options. Most are flexible and may be matched with leggings or full-sleeved shirts to ensure total coverage. Most suits also have a hood. Another benefit of such swimwear is that they protect sensitive skin from the UV radiation or extreme temperatures. Modesty swimwear is made of stretchable, lightweight fabric that does not stick to the skin as the swimmer leaves water. Whatever maybe your reason, medical or cultural, lets hope for a better tomorrow, and till then, ladies, lets all don our suits and get on with it!
