With the constant influx of new, trendy designer pieces, these shops are constantly selling off last seasons clothing to smaller discount boutiques for resale at a fraction of the price. DNAI thought this boutique was my own little secret, tucked away on a nondescript block in Venice. LoehmannsLoehmanns is the looming behemoth most people pass on their way to the Beverly Center. If youre willing to take some time, you can enjoy Loehmanns lovely $1 parking garage while you peruse the racks inside. If youre in a hurry and thinking youll run in, try a few things and run out, youd better think again. Loehmanns is more like a large Ross, and youd better be ready to spend some quality time elbow to elbow with your fellow Angelenos. The racks are filled with last seasons designs and department store overstock. You can take time waiting for one of the few private dressing rooms, or you can do what most Loehmanns devotees do, and let it all hang out in the communal dressing room. If youre really looking to burn some cash, head to The Back Room, a department dedicated solely to high fashion designers like Prada, Valentino, and Dolce & Gabanna. Handbags, accessories and footwear are also available.

Last Chance Boutique This tiny boutique is worth the drive to Culver City. Low on frills, but high on designer merchandise, dont expect to feel like youre walking into Lisa Kline. Shoes and baskets of purses are stacked along the walls of this small space to make room for the long racks of clothing formed into aisles. At last visit the dressing room (note the singular term here) had quite a line. Do yourself a favor and wear a tank top and skirt so you can shimmy into the clothes in full view. Expect to find labels like Catherine Malandrino, Ella Moss, Three Dots, Vivienne Westwood and more.

Kitson Warehouse SaleCelebrity boutique Kitson gave big out sales a go back in spring of 2007, when the first warehouse sale began. It was in a different location back then, but things must have gone swimmingly because they continued to announce sales. Finally, they just left the whole thing open, and stopped promoting it altogether. All the better for you and me, my friends! With 4 stores (Women, Men, Kids, Studio) and a lightning speed merchandise turn over rate, the warehouse sale is continually packed with current trends, discounted up to 80%. So make the trek a little farther south on Robertson to buy the C&C tank top that was full priced a week ago.

AnglUnlike the stores Ive already listed, you wont find any big names or recognizable labels at this Melrose Ave shop. Angl is comparable to Forever21 in quality and price points, but the styles are trendier and more grownup. Ive purchased $25 yoga pants, $35 cotton summer dresses and a favorite, flattering white tee I tragically lost somewhere in Santa Barbara. Its worth a stop if youre in the area, and a far better choice than the cheezy cheap boutiques that line Melrose, east of Fairfax Blvd.
